reminds me of the centre-fold picture (and landscapes within) Joe Walsh’s ‘Barnstorm’: looking up the side of a wooded valley from the barn is so high that the hill seems sky
I keep a pen and notepad on the arm rest whenever I drive through mountains. There will be poems. “The Field” (which I really like) reminds me of some I wrote during my most recent trip Up North (especially my “starting over”): “[haiku] starting over”, “[haiku] autumn rising fast”, and “[blank verse] Mountain Mists” from my wordpress site: TheGuern
BEAUTIFUL!

So glad to see you posting again! Here it has been raining so much that I read the last line as “leaves cling to wet wool”!

Thanks! Back to back illnesses and a last minute work trip kinda knocked me off my game for a bit.

Lovely! It’s so nice to see a traditional haiku as mostly I read (and write) senyru (aka “pseudo-haiku”).

Beautifully crafted! Reminds me of a walk taken in a park a couple of days ago.
