I see two distinct images: A bleak winter’s day and somebody contending with an illness. And though the images are apparently distinct, a closer look reveals they share a common thread. A clammy fever and the damp cold of winter combine to form a subtle, but powerful mood that permeates the entire haiku. This really struck me as exceptional writing. Thank you for sharing.
